I have several bad habits but one severe one. I have Trichotillomania, most commonly known as hair pulling anxiety disorder. It’s a rare disorder involving stress and anxiety, and I found myself labeling this as a disorder more than a bad habit in my late 20s. It was something I lost control of and it got to the point where pulling my hair didn’t even alleviate my anxiety anymore, I just couldn’t find myself NOT pulling on my hair. I needed to finally take initiative and end my hair pulling (which I still struggle with) but it got much better with my decision to get a perm. With the type of perm I got, I need to put hair products in that makes the curls harden. So, I naturally stopped touching my hair in fear that my curls would get ruined. (And you know what happens when your curls get ruined!!!)
